Today the International Academy of Web Television, an independent organization of digital entertainment leaders created to recognize excellence in original episodic Web television programming, has revealed the ten Finalists for the second annual Streamys Audience Choice Award for Best Web Television Series. The ten Finalists received the most public submissions during the Streamy Awards’ official submissions period from December 15, 2009 through January 18, 2010. They were announced this morning in a special video presentation featuring comedian and actor Nick Thune, who also stars in the Web series Nick’s Big Show on MTV Network’s Atom.com.
Starting today, Web television fans worldwide can go online to www.streamys.org to vote for their favorite series once a day up until moments before the winner is announced on the live online broadcast of the Streamy Awards Ceremony, being held at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, April 11 starting at 5:30 p.m. (Pacific). The show will be proceeded by a live Red Carpet pre-show starting at 4:00 p.m. (Pacific), broadcast exclusively on Ustream.
